Worcestershire County Council – Love Food Hate Waste
"During July and August the Waste Challenge Team ran Food Waste roadshows to promote the national LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE Campaign.
We visited 8 different towns across Herefordshire and Worcestershire and spoke to and encouraged over 900 people, to reduce the amount of food that they waste.

Everyone spoken to was asked to complete a simple survey about food waste and by doing this they got to win a prize, either a Tea-Towel, Apron, Key Ring or Recycled Plastic Mug, all chosen to help promote the food waste reduction message. Note pads were also given away to encourage people to make shopping lists before heading out to the shops. All the freebies were supplied by Go Green Promotions.
All of the members of the public we engaged with said that the free gifts were a great way of getting them to think about the problem of food waste and how they can reduce their waste at home."
